Berkshire Pulse Afterschool Dance Program with the Boys and Girls Club of the Berkshires
In collaboration with Berkshire Pulse, Boys & Girls Club, and Pittsfield Public Schools, we are excited to offer an afterschool dance program for students primarily ages 8-12. With a central downtown location at the Boys & Girls Club, we aim to provide an accessible, year-round interdisciplinary dance program, similar to what Pulse offers at their studios in Housatonic, offering an 8-week series this Winter/Spring season starting January 22nd, 2025. The program is free with a Boys & Girls Club membership. We hope that students introduced to Pulse through school programs will have a sustainable way to continue their dance journey with us throughout the year. We can't wait to dance with you!

Bulldog Football
This program is designed to help players learn, understand, and master the fundamental skills of football. Through focused instruction and hands-on practice, participants will develop essential techniques such as passing, running, blocking, and tackling. In addition to honing their athletic abilities, players will be taught the importance of teamwork, self-discipline, and personal responsibility, both on and off the field. These life skills are integral to reaching their full potential as athletes and individuals. All necessary equipment is provided, with the exception of cleats and athletic supporters, ensuring that players are well-prepared for every practice and game.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and Certification Course
Are you an avid swimmer and enjoy the water? Do you want skills for a job that will make a difference? Ever wanted to learn how to save a life? With our American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and Certification course, you can do just that. Participants will learn lifeguarding skills, how to perform CPR on an adult, child, and infant, how to use an AED, and necessary first-aid skills. Upon successful course completion, participants will be certified in American Red Cross Lifeguarding, American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Lifeguard, and American Red Cross Basic First Aid. We offer a blended format! The course presents information on the skills and knowledge lifeguards need in pool, lake, river, surf, and water park environments. The comprehensive course offers up-to-date information on how to lifeguard by anticipating and preventing problems before they occur and by taking action to help those in danger when necessary. The course covers safety skills, accident prevention, scanning, guarding techniques, emergency systems, rescue skills, first aid in an aquatic environment, spinal injury management, open water dangers, legal responsibilities, pool management, and information on how to get a job as a lifeguard. The course is designed to provide participants the knowledge and skills necessary to be a lifeguard and professional rescuer.
ALL AMR COVID-19 Precautions are taken as provided by local and national governing bodies.

SMART Girls

Tee Ball Coaches Pitch
The goal of our league is to introduce young players to the fundamentals of field play and base running in a supportive, non-competitive environment. This program is designed to prepare players for the transition to the player-pitch league (AAA) by focusing on essential skills such as hitting, catching, and base running, all while fostering a love of the game. Teams will practice once a week, with the option for an additional practice, and play one game per week. This league is focused on instruction, ensuring that each child learns the basics of the sport in a safe and fun atmosphere. Our primary objectives are Safety, Instruction, and Fun, so every player can enjoy their time on the field while developing confidence and skills. All children will receive a team jersey and hat, and we will provide all necessary equipment except for a glove, ensuring that all players are ready to hit the field!

This program provides a safe and controlled environment, teaching proper wrestling moves and techniques through demonstration and drills. Students will learn folk style wrestling rules and how scoring and pins apply to the sport along with basic positions up through advanced moves when they are ready. Focus of the program: Strength and conditioning to improve overall cardio, physical fitness. Basic life skills such as hard work, commitment, discipline and respect. Setting goals to improve overall fitness based on overall athletic ability.
Season: November 14 through mid March
Eligibility: Co-ed program open to members in grades 3 through 8. Club Membership required.

Youth Sign Connect
Youth Sign Connect is an exciting initiative aimed at promoting inclusivity and improving communication accessibility for all young people. This program focuses on teaching basic sign language skills through interactive and hands-on activities that are engaging for participants of all ages. Designed to break down communication barriers, Youth Sign Connect encourages kids to learn how to express themselves and connect with others, fostering a more inclusive environment where everyone’s voice can be heard. Whether through games, group exercises, or storytelling, participants will gain valuable communication skills that not only promote understanding but also build empathy and respect across diverse communities.
This program is FREE to all members.
Season: February & March Every Wednesday starting February 5th, 2025 from 5PM to 6PM
Eligibility: Co-ed with Boys & girls in 3rd to 12th Grade. Club membership required.
