Operations Update

Effective Wednesday March 18th:

Hours of Operation:

In order to minimize the amount of time that children and teachers will be in groups- As of Wednesday March 18th- the center will be open from 8:30am-4:30pm.

Drop off and pick up will still be in the Lighthouse from 8:30am-9:00am and from 4:00pm-4:30pm.
If you arrive after 9:00, you will need to enter the building your usual way, give your name to the person at the front desk and wait there for a teacher to come and get your child. Should you arrive before 4:00, you will need to enter the building your usual way, give your name at the front desk and wait for us to bring your child down to you.

All of our teachers will also be given one day off during the week so they can do what they need to do for themselves and there families.

Although you have all told us of your plans for the three weeks that Pittsfield Public Schools will be closed, we realize that plans can and do change. When you decide to bring your child back to the center, we will be happy for their return! In light of our modified teacher schedule, it would be helpful if you could let us know a day in advance so that we can staff appropriately.

Again, thank you for your patience and your cooperation. We sincerely hope that all of these efforts-yours and ours- will continue to keep everyone healthy!

CLEANING UPDATE:

Because attendance is low and at this point we are still fully staffed, teachers have had plenty of time to clean and disinfect the center.

They have:

-Mopped floors and shampooed carpets.
-Cleaned and disinfected bathrooms
-Cleaned and disinfected cubbies

They continue to:
- Clean and disinfect tables, chairs, shelves and toys
-Clean and disinfect railings, door knobs and light switches.
-Disinfect rest mats

We also have washed any "rest items" left behind!!
