Good Morning!

At this point in time, the Children’s Center is open and operating as usual.  However, in our continued efforts to keep children, teachers and families healthy, we are going to temporarily restructure our “drop off” and “pick up” procedures.  To minimize the number of adults passing through our classrooms, “drop off” and “pick up” will be in the Lighthouse.

Our teachers will be downstairs from 7:30-9:00 to greet you and your child.  If you arrive after 9:00, you will need to enter the building your usual way, give your name to the person at the front desk and wait there for a teacher to come and get your child.  At the end of the day, from 4:00-5:30, you will be picking up your child in the Lighthouse.  Should you arrive before 4:00, you will need to enter the building your usual way, give your name at the front desk and wait for us to bring your child down to you.

Please be patient with us-especially at the end of the day.  Moving 60 children-with all of their belongings-from their classrooms to the Lighthouse will take a bit of fine tuning.  J

We will continue to take the following steps to promote health and hygiene:

            Disinfect tables, shelves and bathrooms-daily

            Disinfect railings, door knobs and light switches-daily

            Disinfect rest mats-weekly (all attempts are always made to have children use the same mats daily)

We will continue to remind children and staff to:

            Wash their hands upon entering their classrooms

            “catch” their coughs/sneezes

            Wash their hands after blowing their noses or touching their faces

We ask you to help us by:

            Taking your child’s rest items home every Friday to be washed

            Reminding your child about the importance of hand washing

            Keeping your child home is he/she is sick
